Vent - the mountaineering village in the Ötztal valley
Vent is located at 1900m and is one of the 35 mountaineering villages in Austria. The initiative of the mountaineering villages strives for a sustainable development of alpine tourism and for the protection of the Alps. The main emphasis is on the harmony between nature and human, mountaineering and the mountain itself: proximity with respect, enjoyment at a high level, liveliness without noise - less, but better, that is the philosophy and state of mind of the mountaineering villages.
Das Berghotel Gstrein The Berghotel Gstrein was planned by the well-known architect Hans Fessler, long-time office manager of Clemens Holzmeister, in 1932. It is considered one of the rare relics from the classical-modern phase of Tyrolean architecture. Since then, the hotel has been family-run for generations and is happy to offer guests a relaxing vacation.
